Prize Ceremony 2002 ![]() Photo: © Micael Engström The POLAR MUSIC PRIZE was presented on Monday the 27th of May for the eleventh consecutive year. The Prizewinners this year are Sofia Gubaidulina and Miriam Makeba. The prize money is one million Swedish Crowns (approx US$ 100.000, € 106.000) to each Laureate.
